Oilgear can offer several standard system upgrades. Custom applications, developed to your specifications, can also be provided. Anything from a simple AC to DC conversion up to full plant-wide integration systems are available. The information listed below is a brief overview of some of the configurations. Each application is thoroughly reviewed to determine which features are required.

Add Programmable, Profiled Cycle to Existing Control

• Multi-step profile for press closing.
• Closed Loop Position Control during densification and final position steps.
• Color Touch Screen for operator interface.
• Multiple Part-program storage insures repeatable performance.
• Data Entries and absolute position transducers replace troublesome limit switches.
• Enhanced diagnostics allow fast problem resolution.

AC to DC Conversion

• Oilgear DC Control Electronics replace outdated AC Control Electronics.
• DIN rail mountable EPC digital amplifier adds programmability and functionality.
• Pump Conversion components included in upgrade.
• Optional pressure limiting provides better control during board cure cycle.

Replacement of existing obsolete PLC or Relay Logic System

• Offers all of the features of the programmable, profiled cycle.
• Logic control is incorporated into the new PLC.
• All of the press control is done from a single PLC.
• System maintenance and future upgrades are easier to do.
• May require rewiring some of the field devices.

Complete System Upgrades

All new control consoles and operator interface will be supplied. In many cases the new equipment will take up less room than the existing system. Each system will be reviewed to determine what equipment is required.

Hydraulic System Modifications

• Updated prefill valve operators.
• Replace fixed displacement pumps with variable volume pumps.
• Add additional pump capacity for increased speed.
• Evaluation and modification of existing circuit to eliminate hydraulic shock.
