The Shut Off Valve utilizes a balanced design for ease of opening and closing
By using through drilling pressure acts on both the annulus and bore areas of the poppet. This ensures that when the operator comes to close the valve they do not have to overcome a force due to pressure acting on the poppet face.
The balanced shut off valve also utilizes the same hard on hard technology (hardened stainless steel cage and stellite seat). As before the poppet seat is replaceable.
