Built on the success of previous models, the EPC3 is the third generation of Oilgear's line of Electronic Pump Control (EPC) products. The EPC3 model is a micro-controller built for servo-operated hydraulic pumps and valves. Fully programmable, the EPC3 requires no proprietary cable. A standard USB input makes programming and tuning easy.

With the EPC3, a single control axis uses a power amplified to drive VS-, VV- and VM-controlled pumps and valves. Basic pump controller configuration allows closed-loop responses for stroke position and pressure feedback.
With a variety of input options, the EPC3 allows flexibility for pump control. When using a digital output signal, two independent function programs can be dynamically selected. This output option also allows for simple diagnostic or a watchdog signal.
These amplifier controller cards also include three general-purpose analog inputs. These allow for command and pressure feedback signals, including ±10 VDC, 0-to-20 mA, or 4-to-20mA. An additional analog input is a dedicated fine-adjustable LVDT stroke feedback device. The module allows for two low-power programmable output signals.
EPC3 is configured by assigning one of 12 built-in function programs to each of the two program blocks. Typically, the output of the function programs is then passed to the internal pump controller. This, in turn, provides the valve command.
With full features in use, up to three independent closed-loop proportional with integral (PI) control algorithms can be utilized. Most function programs provide a closed-loop control algorithm for pressure or stroke. The EPC3 can be configured for both stroke and power feedback.
